Summer got you feeling a little moody? This summer, your mission is to create two versions of the same artwork: each using color to express a completely different mood.
Whether itβs a full scene or a simple still life, the goal is to explore how color alone can shift the emotion of a piece. Think happy vs. eerie, calm vs. intense, etc.
Donβt forget to check out the βCreating Mood with Colorβ tutorial to level up your skills on this topic!
πCreate two colored versions of the same artwork that convey two different moods with their colors!
The two moods should be fairly different from one another. (for example, one that feels happy and serene, and another that feels scary and dreadful)
The artwork can be a whole scene or as simple as a still life. The purpose of this challenge is to focus on how you can use COLOR as a tool to communicate emotion and mood. The art itself doesn't need to be complicated.
If you haven't already, make sure to check out the how to create mood with color tutorial for a deep dive on tackling this topic!
