Weekly Results 8 - 5/7/23

Ok! I'm back and have some more results with me! I'll post the examples here one after each other above this, then you can read my thoughts down here.

1. Ohm!

I already showed off Ohm already, but I have to admit that I'm very happy with how he came out. He's much shorter now, but he's a lot better posed and shaped. His tattoo also has a million% more thought put into it, but I'll save the explanation behind it when his arc has concluded.

Note to self: I need to color a few lines to match up with a different character's outfit.

2. Nova!

Not much to say here. I will say that it honestly feels a lot more natural the way clothes are put on people in this style. Beforehand it didn't look right unless i added some extra shadows.

3. Isaac!

There's a bit around his body that's usually erased when I made the actual sprite, so ignore the fluffies sticking out from behind his suit. That aside, I made sure to show Isaac's owner the sprite as I was making it, and he approves! I also find his swimsuit sprite to be.. quite nice.. but I'll hold that for now :3c

4. Ramses!

His swimsuit is ALSO exceptionally nice, as is his underwear. I'll hold onto that for now too, though :3c Did you know Ramses was initially going to have a ton of relevance? Nowadays he's still important, but the role he was going to play was a lot more prevalent...

Note to self: I need to adjust his arm and flatten out the top a bit.

5. Sarah!

I really like how the coloring on her shirt came out, it looks all artsy n stuff! I dunno if I mentioned this earlier either, but Sarah was the third character I ever made, even before Sihai was a dating sim. Originally she was just a receptionist, but her role quickly changed even back then.

6. Biyu!

I'm especially glad of Biyu's glowup, both now and when I made her resprite in the first place. As I may have said, a lot of the context around Biyu and what she's done has changed within my plans, so I'll be adjusting some dialogue accordingly. She is (and will be) a very interesting character, so please look forward to seeing what's going on behind the scenes!
