Shen Update (16th/19th) - 3/15/22

Phew. One hefty burnout later, I'm finally getting back into the swing of things. Shen's update is here, and comes with a couple noticeable changes! These should prove pretty obvious when you see them, but...

MC (default name Alex) has gotten a new look! All his outfits and expressions have been revamped to be (hopefully) better than ever.

Eric has also undergone a similar change. In both cases, their casual outfits have changed pretty dramatically. Despite this, any CGs that show MC in his original attire has not been updated (as that is far more work than I was able to do these weeks).

Yeah, these two are getting updated sprites sooner or later as well. The goal of Jehu's is to make him chumblier (he's still got that thickness to him, but he do be our resident chubby nerd), while the goal of Paul's was honestly mostly to fix up his arms. I took the liberty of updating him across the board, though. I hope you will look forward to seeing them completed!

Alright! Before I go, I want to talk about NSFW content in this game and, in particular, my philosophy when it comes to it. First: I love adding NSFW content. That said, I also want my story to be fun and engaging without relying on hot sexy time between you and your beloved. Bulges and teasing and flirting are one thing, but getting the dirty nasty on is another. The former is easier to pepper into dialogue without changing the flow of the story too much, but the latter requires (usually, not always) stepping out of the intended flow and finding a way to steer it back to the proper route.

This winding nature of properly NSFW scenes means that, while I can get away with not writing them for now, they're also not really that hard to retcon into previous days. Trust me when I say that more straight-up, hardcore NSFW content is on my mind and the game will become properly saturated with it when I make later passes through previous days. My guess is that these additions will probably come during periods between Jorge and Jehu days, where I have those two extra weeks.

Some other things I'm looking at: 

• I fully plan on creating a new menu that will allow you to view previously-seen hardcore NSFW content without having to replay the whole game. I also plan on having "extra episodes" with some being rather gratuitous in nature, though those bonus scenes may be locked behind the Employee patron tier.
• I'm still looking into a way to let you see the whole of a sprite instead of just the cropped version you usually see. Having to make Mini-CGs to draw attention to things below the belt is rather tedious and annoying, and there's a ton of fun goodies hiding beneath the bottom of the screen!
• You'll probably have noticed that some sprites are a little "risque." This persists into SFW mode, even if most NSFW writing and scenes are danced over in the SFW mode. As I continue forwards, this will probably remain the same. I mostly say this because while most NSFW content is locked behind choices, I intend for at least a few to be integrated naturally into the story, with only SFW mode allowing you to skip over it. In any case, don't expect SFW mode to make this game squeaky-clean, both now and going forward :P
