A living fossil, these guys are found only around New Zealand and though they resemble lizards, they are actually their own family of reptile (separate from squamates which are snakes and lizards). I hope you find these guys as interesting as I do!
Sorry for falling so behind this month, every year the holiday season gets busier and busier as Derptiles grows. Iโm incredibly thankful for everyone who has supported and shared my love for reptiles and amphibians! ๐๐ฆ๐ธ
