Fear TWD does have some crossovers in the later seasons but nothing from the spin offs moves over into the main show, it's usually stuff from the main show going to the spin offs. So you're not missing out on anything plot wise by just watching this show. I would recommend s1-3 of fear but 4 onward is...embarrassing lol. Awful death for jesus, it's very well done and effective imo buuuuut not conic accurate, the actor was tired of the show atp as the previous showrunner got him to do a lot of training for his stunts but didn't give him any stunts to show off the training lol. He was fed up of the training being wasted and not living up to the comic Jesus potential. I think the reason he went back was to "hold off" the herd while the others squeezed through the gate lol, wasn't very well executed. But the new showrunner did him justice in the end imo! The second half of this season is again amazing lol, amazingly written characters and developments both for old and new imo. A lot to look forward to.
