Andy thinkin about how he was when he first came to meet Brook. Things were pretty different in the way he used to think. Andy having struggled with sexuality in his very early years and trying to hide it took quite a toll. He hid it for the longest time and tried to adapt a 'straight' personality to avoid questions. When finally coming to accepting himself, he had surrounded himself with other men that liked men. Then in comes Brook and suddenly he felt familiar confusion pop up due to Brook being trans.

In that time, Andy wasn't really aware of trans people, especially transmen and he sought advice from close friends. Unfortunately many people didn't really understand trans people and their responses rode along questioning if Andy was "really gay". This caused a weird identity crisis in him despite his attraction to Brook. It was just a terribly strange time till he came to get himself educated on this. Asking Brook questions, researching what it meant to be transgender and learning that loving a trans person doesn't change shit about your sexuality. He had to learn that... and the ignorance slowly faded away.

He's come a long way, but he still regrets the way he used to think. Andy was never transphobic, btw. He just... didn't understand what being attracted to Brook meant for him and had to learn that it changed nothing at all ;v; <3 His development through his feelings for Brook vs his peers who were also ignorant to trans people took time for him to grow into the soft, supportive boyfriend he is now v///w//v <3
