Monster Hunter AU
Added 2018-09-23 23:20:59 +0000 UTCHere we go, an AU where Noel's kinda cool?? So in this AU, as explained, Noel hunts down monsters that live under people's beds. From childhood till now, he's known of their existence and had quite a history of being psychologically tortured by the monster that inhabited his bed as a child. At some point he ended up fighting back and learning about these things, taking it upon himself to rid the world of them if he can. Noel is an insomniac, cursed with nightmares so he does his best to stay up as much as he can, sleeps on mattresses on the floor and also has terrible social skills. He's a lil less happy in this AU, more straight to the point and has a high tolerance for pain.
The monsters, or rather demons, are able to create tears in reality underneath beds. These types of demons feed on nightmares, eventually turning them to night terrors and may consume the host. They roam from bed to bed and children, depressed or suicidal adults tend to be the easiest targets. Not all demons look this way, but this is usually the most common kind to find. Ways to know there's a monster under one's bed is that:
1. The host is becoming increasingly agitated and sleepless. They experience nightmares that soon become night terrors to the point they may try to stay awake.
2. Black mold begins to grow around the bed. A rotting smell comes from under the bed. The host isn't fully aware of the conditions of their room.
So this has probably been the most difficult design to conjure up since monsters/demons aren't exactly my strongest suit, but I am pretty happy with this one!

It'd be fun if he helps your other characters from time to time with their demons. I'd guess some would be more funny than interesting. Each with a different type of demon.
