Punk v Lesnar No DQ match 2013

CM Wolverine is definitely not one of my favorite Punk looks.

Nicholas Kramer

Just for added context for Josh the second fight from 200 was in 2016. There had been rumours in 2015 that he’d go back to UFC and then again in like 2018 or 2019 which never materialized. Lesnar ended up failing a USADA drug test so the result of the 200 fight was over turned and he was banned from MMA fights for at least a couple of years. WWE of course, did not suspend him because he was a part timer and only full timers were subject to the Wellness Policy.

You forgot Kurt Angle for a brief time in between Show and Brock for the second time. Also I know that second Brock is 2012 but Heyman kind of reunited with him in late 03 when he was SmackDown GM. You forgot Curtis Axel and Ryback too lol.

The Heyman timeline since Ive known Heyman: Brock ⏩ Big Show ⏩Brock⏩Punk⏩Cesaro⏩Brock⏩Roman As a wiseman/manager... He's also been Smackdown Head writer and GM in the best era of Smackdown ever... A color commentator... And obviously the ECW stuff

Shaun Carpenter

Brock vs Mir UFC 100 Brock vs Hunt UFC 200 If you want to see Lesnar beating people up in different eras. His UFC 200 fight was just 2 months after he competed at Wrestlemania. He was technically under contract with both companies at once.

The World Heavyweight ladder match is really good as well, to be honest the 2013 Summer was great in general.

Abs Ali

True!

I love that MITB Match. It’s one of the best MITB fields ever and deserved the All Star tag it got. What’s interesting about that Josh, is that it was Orton, Punk, Bryan, Christian, Sheamus and Rob Van Dam and they were all babyfaces, while the other MITB match that night was all heels.

This is in my top 3 matches, it’s also my favourite run from Punk, I was so invested in him at this point. I would recommend watching that MITB ladder match from 2013, it doesn’t get the credit it deserves.

This is the same Summerslam you watched with Daniel Bryan and John Cena. The match where Randy Orton cashed in his Money in The Bank on Daniel Bryan after he won the WWE Title.

At this point brock is still a very strong opponent but its not until this years wrestlemania when brock beats taker he became literally unstoppable. They had to have brock destroy cena after, it couldn't be a 50/50 match or brock losing or it would've undermined takers strength(even though imo cena at this same time could've beaten taker and it wouldn't have been unbelievable)

Actually heyman first managed Brock in 2002 when Brock debuted. Heyman and punk friendship began in 2005-2006 when punk signed with wwe. They first teamed up on tv in 2012. This point heyman was managing both technically but Brock was part time obviously so mainly punk before he betrayed punk

Phillyman!!

Probably just me, but the last time I watched this match I didn’t think it was that great. People call SummerSlam 2013 one of the best SummerSlams ever because of this and Cena/Bryan but two ”great” matches does not make a great PPV. Don’t get it twisted, I don’t dislike this match to go against the grain, I just don’t like it that much. My opinions on a lot of highly regarded matches are often the opposite of the collective opinion.
