I was there too. (I’m from NYC and made the trip. Sorry). This is Wells Fargo Center where the Flyers play. (Yuck) One thing you touched on that I wholeheartedly agree with, Dport. I had nosebleeds in the last row and I was able to see just fine. At the stadium shows I’ve been to, I couldn’t too well, it was really going just for the atmosphere. “What’s F5 stand for?” It’s the highest or one of the highest ratings on the tornado intensity scale. The move resembles a tornado, I guess. Cena’s AA actually used to be called the FU during his rapper heel days as a take on that name. I hope you get to see some of that at some point too.

The two J&J security guys were former wrestlers turned producers and back to wrestlers/characters for Seth Rollins as part of "The Authority" storyline with HHH/Stephanie and also Randy Orton. There was friction in the group that led to the Orton vs. Rollins match at Mania stemming from Rollins being the future and Orton being the past kind of thing. The bald guy is Joey Mercury and he was in a tag team with John Morrison and their female manager/turned wrestler Melina during the Ruthless Aggression era. The other guy is Jamie Noble and he was one of the guys they were pushing when they had a cruiserweight division. This company has started and ended the cruiserweight division a few times now. He was pretty talented. He had a hillbilly character he portrayed. He is actually still a producer in the company still. You'll see him show up to try and break/separate fights on screen every so often. Not sure about Joey Mercury though. The John Cena hate is the whole he is boring, has the five moves of doom and the fact that he was stated as being "The Guy" by Vince and that he was going to be pushed down everyone's throats whether we liked it or not. For a little while there was talk of turning Cena heel and Cena even wanted to do it but Vince said no because of the merch Cena was selling and his whole hustle, loyalty, and respect gimmick. Cena also loved doing the make a wish stuff so that would have also made it difficult. The heel turn never happened and now some of the people who used to hate him now love him. Roman Reigns' hate was the unfortunate product of the Internet dirtsheets and wrestling journalists leaking stories and backstage politics that is now so common these days. There were stories going around that Cena was getting older and was reaching the tail end of his wrestling career. WWE, mainly Vince, decided that out of the 3 shield members that Roman was the next "John Cena". Before it was decided that Roman was the guy he was rising in popularity and the fans were cheering him. Once the stories about Roman taking Cena's spot got out the people turned on him and rejected him. I myself am actually guilty of that. The Rock showing up to help Roman win the Rumble was supposed to give Roman a rub and cement that push but obviously the fans did not agree with that decision. If COVID never happened the Roman/bloodline stuff may not have happened or gotten over. With there being no fans it gav Roman the ability to work on his character on screen without the hate and when the fans came back he won a lot of them back including me.

ECW was a wrestling promotion in the 90’s that was widely known for their hardcore and edgy wrestling style. That’s probably why you heard it in the Randy Orton vs Cactus Jack match.

2024-06-12 20:42:38 +0000 UTCNow with all the recent stuff that have come out with Vince and with Brock possibly being involved I can’t bring myself to watch the guy anymore new stuff or old same as Vince. Brock was one of the first wrestlers I ever saw Brock vs Triple H Summerslam 2012 was the first big wrestling show I saw I had the DVD as a kid. When I got back into this in 2022 that’s one of the first matches I saw to get those nostalgic feelings back. It kind of feels like this guy that I always knew wasn’t that nice of a person is actually not a good person at all and does terrible things. If what is in that lawsuit is true WWE would be doing a terrible mistake trying to bring him back now.

Since the pg era started in 08' cena was pushed as the ultimate face of the company and winning like 70% of his matches. Also him destroying the nexus by himself, and snatching the title from ray mysterio didn't help.

They gave him J & J Security to protect him, even though they mostly served as comedic stooges used to take bumps. The corkscrew moonsault Seth did near the end is called the Phoenix Splash. Seth has only ever hit it twice in WWE. He still uses it to this day but he usually lands on his feet when the other guys counters. Anyways, I’m super glad you enjoyed the match and hopefully you found all this helpful.
