The only aew stars I make sure to watch every week are MJF, Swerve Strickland, Ricky Starks, Mercedes Mone and Sammy Guevara for instance because they don't do as much hardcore stuff on television like the other guys. Other than those guys I catch up on Jon Moxley, Kenny Omega and Chris Jericho on pay per view every month.

It proved he could adapt to different wrestling styles such as hardcore and wwe pushed him into the world title scene immediately albeit he was a little too young at that point to be pushed that hard with his attitude problems at that time. They should've waited at least until 2006 or 2007 to really give him a world title reign.

He would put himself on the line in matches like these to really help someone else push themselves into a truly credible main event threat. He did it for Orton, Edge, Triple H, Rock…they all came out of feuds with Mick ready to be “the guy”.

2024-06-12 06:35:55 +0000 UTCI thought I'd mention since you were impressed by the Foley promo before the match that Mick Foley is known as one of the best promos of all time. He does a really good job of selling emotion and building a match. His most famous promo is probably the Cane Dewey promo that he did in ECW but you can rarely go wrong watching any Mick promo. Also, this is the match that really put Randy Orton on the map as a main event caliber wrestler.

2024-06-11 21:02:16 +0000 UTCOh I just noticed this but during the promo package where you see Mick sitting in a rocking chair that was the only time he ever used it but Bray Wyatt got the idea of a rocking chair came from this one time use and Mick gave Bray the blessing to use it.

Also ECW at this time was kinda just chanted at hardcore spots, still happens some times today. But foley was a part of ECW at the start of it.
