Rhea Ripley vs Charlotte Flair - WrestleMania 36

Also I believe that the figure 4 hurts both legs (at least it hurt both of my legs when my brother used to do it to me). It not only puts pressure on the knee of one leg but it puts pressure on the ankle of the other leg so it was technically still hurting the left leg of Ripley, just not directly on the knee.

This isn’t the only match these 2 have had that adds history to the WM39 match. They also faced each other for the Raw Women’s Championship at MITB 2021 (the first event with fans since covid lockdown). It is my favorite of their matches because the crowd was hot since they were finally back and also bc Charlotte gives the crowd the finger🖕 at the start of the match bc they were disrespectful and chanting things irrelevant to the match. The match is much more back and forth and adds a good amount of history to the WM39 match. Hope you watch it one day!

Rhea was only 23 during this match. She did very well. During the video package we saw Ric Flair saying his famous catchphrase “To be the man, you have to beat the man!” This is how Becky Lynch got the nickname “The Man” because she was in a heated rivalry with Charlotte.

Yeah. That's very true but when there's no fans interacting every single week, it gets pretty dull because they literally had no fans from March 2020 to June 2021. That was a very long stretch to not have fans in.

I think I only enjoy it in pieces like this because I like hearing more stuff from in the ring. Watching an entire mania like this would be brutal

Dport

This was the most boring Wrestlemania. I hated watching this with no fans.

Chad

How are they copyright striking stuff behind a paywall?

Steamed Ham Champion Dillon Haggett

To avoid copyright issues.

Dport

Whoa hang on, why is it blurred now?

Steamed Ham Champion Dillon Haggett

Just saw your lie or truth video. And yes it was only storyline Al didn’t eat an actual dog. 👍😂

One more thing, Rhea’s gear here is inspired by Vegeta from Dragon Ball Z.

I thought I was going crazy lol

I'm so glad to hear someone else point out my biggest wrestling pet-peeve, which is wrestlers doing the figure 4 on the wrong leg. I don't know why but so many wrestlers grab the wrong one. The Miz is the only person, I can name off the top of my head, who does it correctly pretty consistently in WWE.

Just fyi, I had to pick a Rhea match because she’s from Adelaide and I live four hours south of the city. So it’s very cool to have someone from so close be a WWE wrestler, much less one of the biggest stars in the company. This was indeed a pandemic event. It was less than a month after COVID was declared a worldwide pandemic. It was also the first time they used a song by The Weeknd for Mania. WWE filmed Mania on the 25th and 26th of March and aired them on April 4th and 5th, due to restrictions. Charlotte’s theme has much more of Ric Flair’s theme than the current one. Well, it’s the smallest stage of the modern era. The first WrestleMania to have a proper stage per se, was X. VIII had a neon entrance door thing but that was it. Every other WrestleMania had nothing. Mania X-Seven was the first in what would be a string of stadium shows, with the exceptions of XX, 21 and 22 and would begin the tradition of gigantic stages. XX had quite a small stage, but 21 and 22 had fairly big stages despite being in basketball/concert venues.

this was certainly quiet a time in wrestling, no fans, royal rumble winner challenges for the NXT championship lol

Poll coming tomorrow right?
