2024-06-06 18:32:56 +0000 UTCBecky had like a steam punk aesthetic when she first got to the main roster so the smoke Pyro is like the last thing she retained from that point in her career. This might have been the year that Becky and Charlotte were champions, and they got drafted to the opposite brands, so they were supposed to do a clean swap of titles on TV but it almost turned into a legit fight between them. I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure this was that year. She def had a black eye after this lol

Getting back into wrestling in 2022 I had noticed that the ladies were WAY more athletic but for whatever reason this Mania match really solidified it for me. These girls weren't being picked out of lingerie magazines anymore (yes that really happened by John Laurinitis) or they aren't being picked solely on their looks. You have to actually have to be an athlete now and have the abilities to make it just as believable as the men do it. The playing field in terms of regular one on one matches for men and women has been seriously leveled out these past few years. All you need to do is look at NXT and there's soooooo many athletic ladies down there learning, developing and will be the next faces of women's wrestling in WWE. Charlotte and Rhea won't be able to go out there and be on top forever as much as theyd like that. In 5-10-15 years there's gonna be this whole new crop of ladies coming up that'll blow the worlds mind.

2024-06-06 18:13:23 +0000 UTCHonestly I'd say this is probably the last truly great long-term women's feud (it actually continues to SummerSlam that year coming full circle) on the main roster. The only two women to have ever won the main event of WrestleMania squaring off. Also, what I've always admired about Becky is that even though she's not naturally athletic like a Charlotte or Bianca, she works extra hard to be a great in-ring storyteller.
