I saw the first in the theater in 1999 and it was so long and boring I never watched the others. Maybe it deserves a rewatch? Extended version is longer than an Undertaker entrance!

2024-05-30 22:36:44 +0000 UTCIf the lack of a crowd doesnt bother you in this match then you probably won't have too hard a time with matches in Japan either. Crowds there don't make nearly as much noise and typically clap respectfully rather than cheer which can be weird if you're not used to it.

A match of this sort was and still is a complete rarity in WWE and without these two, this style just wouldn't fly in this company, not to this degree. Heavily influenced by 80s & 90s japanese style wrestling.

Has a lot of content on Patreon all about wrestling and most of it I enjoy, but he does match watch alongs with his co host Sancho and i feel like they just really talk over and don’t pay attention to the matches as much. But they aren’t new wrestling fans so that may have something to do with it.

2024-05-30 18:08:42 +0000 UTCNXT UK was HHH's first part of what he called "Global Localisation" basically wanting to open brands of NXT and performance centers across the world. This was the first that started in 2018 I think. People didn't like it because the creation of NXT UK destroyed the UK Indy scene and then didn't even use the talent or show them off all that well. Then covid hit so that plan was scapped. After covid, NXT UK was closed with the idea of doing NXT Europe but we have yet to see that come about. The UK Indy scene is finally recovering and has become decently healthy, at least from a British Fan POV.

The refs never actually enforce it though, they'll just angrily count upwards and if they reach 4 before they separate they get between them and pull them apart, unless they have them in an actual submission, or are striking them, then they're usually stricter.
