I've been percolating the idea of a black ops division that would be the foil to the Hungry Hounds crew. Where the HH crew is a mercenary group that engages in above board operations, the Black Ops Division is a shadowy government wet works team.
Above is the idea i've been expanding on the tac-necromancer. I've done some drawings of it in the past, but haven't been able to put together anything i was happy with.

I think I drew this version about 2 years ago, and just couldn't get it to have the feel i wanted it to. A couple things that are working that I really like so far are the trench shovel and the trench dagger. My visual inspirations at the moment at the time were trying to combine aspects of WW1 trench warfare with modern SAS operative load outs. Some aspect about digging trenches and digging graves just works together. Added to that the brutality that was unique to pre-Geneva convention warfare attracted me. Mustard gas, no-man's land, etc etc. Those are aspects I'm trying to keep.
In the new drawing I'm working with the idea that the tac-necromancer slices off pieces from corpses to use in his magic. I'm trying to familiarize myself more with medieval witchcraft and necromancy to see what I can add to the design. I'm playing around with the idea of shrunken heads as grenades, though that may be going too far into the witch doctor territory, and using the hand of destiny in some way.
anyway, that's where my head is at the moment. Once I finish up this design for the tac-necromancer I'm going to try to tackle a tactical illusionist, or tactical enchanter. That will be fun for sure. I'm going to try to tap into some MK ultra, hypnotism, magic mushroom territory to come up with something cool there.
Let me know what you guys think!
