Character Select Screen

We needed a new painting for the character select screen which I was very excited to do. We're planning on having the UI flow showcase some story elements of the Imagination Bomb event. When the I-bomb exploded and made people's thoughts spill out, where people's thoughts collided threw everyone's pocket dimensions into lower orbit. This painting represents that moment.
This painting is also an homage to one of my favorite scenes from the Akira manga. (spoiler alert) In issue 4 when Kaneda gets pulled back to Tokyo, there's a scene where an entire building falls from the sky in front of lady Miyako's temple (/spoiler) and this was heavily inspired by that amazing double page spread.
