i figured out my fixation with feathers

I think my desire to embody a bird girl stems from a shame of body hair. Hear me out. In my fantasy, I can have feathers wherever, whenever and they would be beautiful and interesting. Birds don't pluck or shave, they are perfect. I think this is why I also gravitate towards rodents, their fur is fuzzy and adorable and it makes them warm and cuddly.

I grew up in the 90s/early 2000s when being completely hairless everywhere was expected (dark times). Unfortunately, I've always had majestic coarse hair. Even though standards have changed, I still have a stunted teenage girl brain. Stunted brain + shame = fixations?

One more reason I like bird girls: I DON'T look at hot anime girls on the internet anymore as you know. Lord protect me. 🙏 When I did, I used to watch this show called Interspecies Reviewers and I had this huge crush on the Bird Maid. There's this one episode where she has to leave her bar shift to lay some eggs and it's so cute and intimate.

Is this something any of you have experienced? An insecurity morphing into a supernatural body fantasy? Keep it PG and a cozy space for everyone if you wanna share!

P.S. Sometimes you guys prank me. Every once in a while, one of you will comment something on my posts and it will change my mind about something then you will delete it before I have time to respond. I will spend like 30 minutes going through my notifications and emails like a detective trying to grab a trace of it. Then I will think I imagined it and it will haunt me for weeks! I often read your comments and then just think about them and respond a few days later. Just remember that rat owners have responsibilities.

I have a distinct memory where it felt like I really looked at myself for the first time since I’d hit puberty. No psychedelic experience has made me dissociate that hard in my life. I felt like an ogre 👹 and after a while, I liked it.

Oh, that is so interesting, it's unfair that hair growth is associated with "manliness" and strength. I'm glad you've made peace with the amount that you have and feel grateful for it. Many people with a ton of body hair can't even grow a full beard.

I have the opposite problem I was the least hairy guy and was less hairy then a lot of girls. I did have a weird fantasy where I could grow hair and it would make me strong like Samson while I had it. Man I was dumb and I am glad I never got hair on my knuckles like the rest of my family but am glad I was able to grow a full beard by 30.
