I really liked this reaction, ^_^
just some info on the whole who pays for the wedding thing. As far as I know nowadays it's not so much of a thing anymore, and I think it originated based on who is bringing more "value" to the marriage. Since back in the day men were considered the source of income and thus more "valuable" the family of the bride had to pay for the wedding, and maybe even give gifts to the groom's family to allow the wedding, depending on how they valued the bride. I think during the time of the movie the reason for the Father of the bride paying is no longer a thing and it turned into a custom where people forgot the reason behind it. Still a fucked up tradition.
