Music video update and details!

Hi everyone!

It's been a while, hope you’re all doing well! Apologies for any gap between posts 🙏 I’ve been organizing things for the second music video I mentioned a while back! The J-pop artist is Tuki. We’ll still be doing the Miku music video, but this one takes priority since the artist is aiming to release it by the end of August, haha. I’m pretty excited for this project as it’s another chance to work with a large team on a production!

I’ve been assembling a team of animators and background painters for the video while working on storyboards. A friend of mine is helping manage the production, and we've probably reached out to over 50 people for art tests at this point. It’s been hectic coordinating everything, but also very cool! (The background art in the second image is from one of the BG artists we’ll have on our team!)

As you’ll see in some of the concept art, I’ve been considering using the same painterly style I used in my film. It would take a lot of time and a massive amount of effort, especially for a 4-minute music video, but if we can pull it off I think it would look amazing! That said, it’s just an idea for now, so nothing’s guaranteed. We’ll have to see how things progress and how much time we have during production. A more traditional cel-shaded look could also work well for a video like this.

In the meantime, I’ll be posting animations and background art from the music video pre-release here from now on! I'm really excited for this project. Thank you all for your patience, and I’ll see you soon!
