I'm back after a chaotic period of the whole family being sick, but more posts coming soon.
This one is about learning pentatonic patterns over the fretboard, instead of being limited in a fixed position.

Could you expand this to diatonic scales please. I don't want to learn positions - I want to learn where tones of a given scales are. For example, if I'm practicing g-majoj scale starting on 5th fret, starting with A seems wrong, as then I get A dorian, not G ionian. So should I practice from G on 3rd fret and go from there? Hope you know what I mean :)

I also wanted to ask you, from an harmonic point of view, since the backing track is on Cmajor, we can only "base" the pentatonic run on the notes of the scale? Say, if we put the "base" on F# or Bb, will it work? thank you.
