Yes, that's right Raymundo! I almost exclusively use the bottom of my palm so my fingers are free to do the rest. If you use your palm for slap you can also simultaneously use the thumb to pluck the bass string if you need to. That is quite difficult to learn in the beginning but you just have to practice it and after some time it becomes automatic. Some people slap with their fist closed, but this only works if you're strumming things and not playing notes at the same time as the slap. Hope that makes sense!

I have the same question. I think, the first slap we have to do, is easy, because you can slap while strumming the Dminor chord for the second 0:30. But then, for the second slap we have to pick while slap, It is difficult for me to slap the first string with the left side of my thumb while pick with my index finger de A string. So I figure out that you have to use the bottom of your palm to slap and then pick with the index. Am I right? Or I have to do another thing?

Count 1,2,3,4 loudly in an even tempo, then slap the hand above the strings on beats 2-4. When that is working, play a simple three note chord on beats 1, 3 and continue to slap on 2 & 4. For example the Aminor6 chord in this summertime version (notes A, F# and C on the 6th 4th & 3rd string) play it with the right-hand thumb, index and middle finger. 3rd step: play the chord on every beat while trying to slap on the 1, 3. When you master that, youve come a pretty long way. It may feel weird in the beginning playing a chord while trying to slap at the same time. But you'll get there. The last step is trying to slap while for example arpeggiating the notes in the chord. Try that out and let me know how it works:)
