Improvisation using Minor Scales! (Minor Swing in A minor)

This is a follow up on my last post on minor scales (link: https://www.patreon.com/posts/33906126) this time I put them in practical use soloing over the song "Minor Swing" (in the key of A-minor) by Django Reinhardt.
I give you some tips you can use when you're are starting to learn about improvising that I hope will be useful to you!

I actually used a backing track found on youtube, just type "minor swing backing track"

2020-04-15 13:12:33 +0000 UTCYes, the melodic minor works nicely on the Am6, you could also experiment with a Cmajor lydian scale which has the #4th degree if you don't like the sound of the #7 in the melodic minor scale. On the F7 chord a minor blues pentatonic has the e flat note if you want to try that (did not include it it this video for simplification) F lydian dominant scale would work as well. Or just playing a F7 arpeggio leading to an E7 arpeggio. Many possibilities:)
