Glad it finally made the poll and glad it won and glad you enjoyed it. I think it remains an incredible achievement of technical and artistic filmmaking. There are so many clever and fun lines. "What do you know about show business?" "Only there's no business like it. No business I know." Like William mentioned, Bugs and Mickey had to have precisely equal screen and dialogue time. Bob Hoskins had to film most of his scenes twice: once with a stand-in for the cartoons, and once without. And fun fact: the ingredients of the Dip ("turpentine, acetone, benzene. he calls it the dip") are just three different types of paint thinner / paint stripper.

The movie was released by Disney through Touchstone Pictures. It's based on a book (Who Censored Roger Rabbit) from 81 which Disney bought the rights to the same year.

It was neither WB nor Disney, that's one of the reasons why they were able to get both. But they did have to agree that WB and Disney characters recieved equal screen time.
